Jayne Toohey is a freelance photographer who currently lives in Media, PA. She began specializing in capturing images of folk music performers and events when she discovered the Philadelphia Folk Festival in the 1980s. Between 2005 and 2009 Jayne produced four versions of the “Naked Folk Calendar”, and in 2017 she, her husband John Lupton and longtime friend Eric Ring published Smiling Banjo, a history of the Philly Folk Festival. Jayne began working with longtime NERFA Director Dianne Tankle in the conference’s second year (1996). Each year since she continues to develop and maintain professional relationships and friendships. Her photo exhibit in the lobby is an annual tradition.
